Coatings, Redecoration and Lining
Once repaired it is imperative that future deterioration is minimised by the introduction of suitable coatings to counter attack the original cause of the decay.
By use of chloride inhibitors, anti-carbonation coatings, cathodic protection, asphalt and decking membranes, the aim is to reduce or even eliminate further corrosion induced concrete deterioration.
Redecoration of staircases and joinery etc is also used to effectively give a more welcoming feel to a car park and, therefore, improve the influx of users who may currently use less well presented facilities.
More recently in the redecoration of parking facilities in there has been an emphasis on interior design within the car park, actually making car parks pleasant places to park. The addition of music, ambient lighting and funky paint finishes coupled with, in some cases artificial grass internal areas, are now proven to attract more customers to park in these environments where the redecoration has been design and customer lead.
